MSD Shift Light
The primary role of your vehicle's shift light is to alert you and remind you to shift when the engine reaches your desired and specified rpm. You then select the rpm using the same plug-in modules that are used with your MSD soft touch rev control. The shift light features a bright cluster of LED or light emitting diode, making it easily visible even in broad daylight. The shift light may also turn on for a second or two when the ignition switch is first turned on to inform you that the light is functioning properly. The shift light from the brand will work on 2, 4, 6 or 8 cylinder engines and will plug directly into the tach output on the MSD 6, SCI 7, 8 and 10 series ignitions or can then be connected to the negative coil terminal when used with points or the inductive- type ignitions. The brand's shift light is 4 ? inches in length x 3 ? inches in height and has a 1 ? inches diameter lens. No rpm modules are then supplied together with the shift lights. The brand's shift lights are available in a number of designs for a number of applications, and one example of this is the universal digital shift light, that aside from being universal and applicable for use for most vehicles, the universal shift light from the brand is easy to use. The performance part is also programmable from 100 to 15900 rpm in 10 rpm increments that can be viewed in easy to read LED panel, a panel that includes six bright red LED lights. The part comes complete with the GMR pick up that fits the distributor, the coil pack, the coil- on- plug ignition systems.
